Its generously specified heatsink creates the best possible conditions for perfect longlife performance.

The A30.3 and A30.5 are respectively three and five-channel modular power amplifiers, designed as ideal output stages in a home theatre or hi-fi system.
Audiophile circuit design
The A30.3 and A30.5 power amplifiers incorporate three and five discrete compact mono channels respectively, each with a separate transformer, power supply and protection circuit for the ultimate in stability and channel separation.
The input stage of each channel consists of a single FET transistor and the output of four Toshiba power transistors. The heat sinks are massive to keep the temperature at moderate level even at the most difficult working conditions.
Each channel amplifier is capable of delivering 120 watts into an 8 ohms load and incorporates full speaker protection against faulty input signals. One individual DC-servo for each channel together with a protection circuit and temperature monitoring provide state-of-the-art protection.
Audio connections
Each channel incorporates an unbalanced RCA input and massive high quality gold plated speaker terminals suitable for most audiophile speaker cables.
Both the A30.3 and A30.5 amplifiers can be remotely operated from a 12V trigger input.
Shortest signal paths
Both amplifiers incorporate SMD technology whenever possible for the shortest signal paths, promoting the highest sonic performance.
Clean power supply for the best possible performance
Each channel amplifier has its own toroidal transformer and a massive electrolytic bank of 20000uF. The driver stage of each has separate transformer windings and regulation in two steps. This configuration produces a high signal to noise ratio and reduces cross-talk from other channels.
Careful design for operational stability
As with all Primare units, the A30.3 and A30.5 are housed in an alloy heavy gauge steel chassis, which provides strength, rigidity, and screening, while being effective at damping vibrations from external sources.
Using the A30.3 and A30.5 with other Primare products
Although the A30.5 and A30.3 are flexible enough to act as the output stages in virtually any system, they are ideal for use with other products in the Primare range, such as the Primare SP31 Processor, or DVD30 universal player. The A30.3 and A30.5 can be used as building blocks in conjunction with the Primare A30.2 to create modular systems with any desired number of matched output stages, and one or more A30 Series amplifiers can be powered on or off remotely from a SP31 using the trigger connections.
